Just a geek girl... well, noooo, not just. ;-) Occasionally, I play at being a writer. Slave to the advertising dollar (but only to pay the bills.) All the same - always on the lookout for like-minded, tart-tongued, fun-loving, authority-questioning, pop-culture-spewing, cuddly geek bretheren of all sorts.

...also, I'd like to meet the Dalai Lama and Loretta Lynn. 'cause, y'know....wow.

Don't make me list it all, eh?, *opens desk drawer*, Current spins: Flaming Lips, Neutral Milk Hotel, Outkast, Alpinestars, Ben Christophers, Scissor Sisters, Tahiti 80, Komeda, Beta Band, The White Stripes, The Streets, Classic spins: Loretta Lynn, Peggy Lee, Oscar Peterson, The Zombies, The Kinks, ELO, P-Funk, Elvis Costello, Jane's Addiction, The Wallflowers, Run DMC, Big Audio Dynamite., I put the "Eeee!" in "eclectic". (OK fine, both E's...shu'up!)

Movies

The entire list is too long and varied to mention here - I'm a film whore., Favorite movie of all time is Harold and Maude, that should be enough to get started with...g'head, ask me another one.

Television

At the moment, it's Mythbusters and the entire Adult Swim lineup, I watch lots of dramas (24, Alias, Lost, etc...) but they're complex love-hate relationships. Heh. Generally, most of my favorite shows are either foreign (Spaced, The Young Ones, Kids in the Hall) or cancelled before their time (Freaks & Geeks, Firefly, Twin Peaks....yeah, I know they dropped the ball on Twin Peaks). The advantage of the latter is that it doesn't plunge me into debt to buy them on DVD. Score!

Books

For sheer enjoyment, it's hard to knock Good Omens. The Sound and the Fury really threw me for a loop back in school, tho..., Oh, and *kofkof*Watchmen*kof*....graphic novels are books, too. (!!!!)
